Road rage incident leads to arrest of a teenager

Garden City, Kan.–The Garden City Police Department remains proactive in addressing dangerous driving situations, including a road rage altercation early Sunday morning that resulted in the arrest of a teenager.

At around 1:30 a.m., Officers from the GCPD received a report of a road rage incident that began north of town. The reporting party stated their BMW had been sideswiped by a Ford Mustang, and the Mustang’s driver allegedly threatened them with a knife during the altercation.

Through the investigation, 18-year-old Deja Hernandez was identified as the suspect. She was later located and arrested and lodged in the Finney County Jail for Aggravated Assault.

There were no injuries reported from the incident.
