USD 443 Board of Education announces new Superintendent selection

Dodge City, Kan.–In an announcement Wednesday morning, the USD 443 Board of Education has announced the selection of Jason Scheck as the new Superintendent of Schools.

Sheck will officially assume leadership on July 1, 2025, following the retirment of current superintendent Fred Dierksen at the conclusion of the 2024-25 academic year.

In a release from the district, Sheck brings extensive educational experience, having served as a teacher and administrator. His leadership includes a tenure with USD 443 as Associate Superintendent of Human Resourses and Principal of Alternative Education, where he demonstrated a commitment to student success, staff development and community engagement.

Sheck received his Master of Education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and his Bachelor of Scients from Fort Hays State University, as well as endorsements in K-12 Building Leadership and District Leadership in Kansas.
