Scott City splits dual doubleheader with Oakley

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–In their final home dual of the season, Scott City would host Oakley on Thursday night. The dual would see each school winning one apiece, as the No.2 ranked team in Class 3-2-1A Lady Plainsmen would take the girls dual 58-12, while the No. 8 ranked team in Class 4A Scott City took the boys dual 52-19.

The boys would have five matches, as Scott City would win three of the five wrestled. Two of the three Beaver wins would come by fall. Scott City won six matches by forfeit and Oakley would win two.

For the girls, Oakley won four of the five matches wrestled, while Scott City won one head to head. The Lady Plainsmen would win eight weightclasses by forfeit, while the Lady Beaver won one.

Scott City will host the 2025 Great West Activities Conference tournament on Friday afternoon at the Scott Community Events Center.
